A metal foot with adjustable support is an additional equipment for shelves of the SK and STS series. The product helps to increase the stability of the loaded structure. Leveling the shelf on an uneven surface reduces play. This prevents it from swaying and avoids distortion. You can purchase a metal foot with adjustable support on the UHL-MASH website.
Why do shelves need footings
Metal footings are installed in sets of 4 at the base of the shelf. The retractable legs on screws expand the support area of the vertical posts. This makes the structure more stable. Unscrewing individual legs also adjusts the shelf to the features of the surface, preventing it from tilting. The "bolt-nut" joints securely fix the connection of the footing with the support.
The design of the footing with an adjustable support includes:
- fastening nodes on bolts with nuts (2 pieces);
- a threaded rod along which the leg moves;
- a plastic retractable leg with a round base;
- a square support platform with fastening protrusions and a hole for the leg.
The footing is not included in the basic equipment of the shelves and must be purchased separately. We recommend having several sets in stock, as they may be needed at any moment. The support platform is cut from a solid metal plate. It contains no seams or unprocessed edges. High-quality steel is resistant to corrosion and serves throughout its entire service life. Two fastening points correspond to the outline of the vertical posts and securely fix the footing. The conical leg made of smooth plastic protects the floor surface from scratches.
